twelve days of christmas giveaways - day 9 - glass squirrel ornament from elizabeth's

Today is extra special because we’ve recently welcomed a new neighbor to The Green Kangaroo hood and they’ve been so kind as to share this sweet glass squirrel ornament for our Twelve Days of Christmas giveaways.  Elizabeth’s Home & Garden Shop is just across the street from our studio in downtown Cary, NC.  Not only did they give us this adorable ornament, but they also contributed a $25 gift certificate… so this drawing has double the cheer (see below in bold for the details)!  If you haven’t visited this new local shop, swing by and visit Elizabeth or her husband, George, so they can help you pick out the perfect gift.  Elizabeth’s is located at 127 West Chatham Street.

To enter today’s giveaway, simply comment below!  You can tell us what you love about the holidays, share your favorite Christmas ornament, or just wish us a warm hello.  It’s that easy!  We’ll draw a winner at random later this afternoon, so be sure to comment by 4pm Eastern.  Everyone who enters will be included in the drawing to win the ornament.  IF you’re local, add that into your comment.  We’ll pick a LOCAL winner for the gift certificate.  Check back in the morning to see if you’ve won and to enter another drawing!  You can comment every day for another chance to win in our “Twelve Days of Christmas GIVEAWAYS!“… so come see what else we’ve got under the tree!

TGK is in the spirit of giving, so check out these deals that will knock your stockings off!  You can also learn how your holiday card order will give back to the local community this year.

A very merry & bright congrats to our winner Friday: John!!!

My favorite ornament is a clear ball with our wedding invitation in curly strips inside. Our dear friend made it for us and it is definitely our favorite! I am local:)

Warm wishes from Greensboro, NC! And it is definitely a warm Christmas season this year. I am originally from upstate NY so it is usually a white Christmas for us there. But since living here it has been mild and I love the change. After growing up dealing with snow all my life, I would say I am a big fan if North Carolina Christmas weather.

I would love to win this adorable squirrel ornament, as I have a collection of squirrel ornaments and figurines, and I would love to be able to add this one to it! I will attest to Joelle’s comment about upstate NY winters – born, raised, and still live in upstate NY, and we’ve definitely had our share of messy winters! However, last year was very mild with half the amount of snow we usually get, and we’ve had almost no snow so far this winter (knock on wood!) Happy holidays!

My favorite ornament is new and was just purchased this weekend. It’s a “Baby’s First Christmas” white ceramic rocking horse to celebrate the birth of our daughter this year. So special to me. (And I am local!)
