Looking back on a year’s worth of between DESIGNS articles and choosing a favorite may seem like a daunting task, but for me it was rather easy.

After almost a year of marriage and the loss of my beloved mother, my personal Uniquely You article, Katie + John: Sittin’ in a Tree (published December 20, 2011) is now even more precious to me. When I revisit this post, I’m reminded of how all of my planning and hard work came together, how happy and loved I felt by all, especially my husband, and how fantastically my mom danced all night long. Come to think of it, this article is going to be hard to top… ever!
