We’ve been crushing on bow ties here at The Green Kangaroo, so, of course, when we came across Jess Decelle’s Etsy shop, Fox & Brie, we were smitten! Ranging from bow ties to pocket squares, her gentlemanly handmade wares are sewn with sought after natural and vintage fabrics.
Jess’ “classic, but quirky” style is evident in her work — striped, plaid, and ikat fabrics are scattered throughout her shop, featuring her very own bow tie patterns. Shown above are Navy Ikat, Rust Linen, and Charcoal Striped pocket square, all some of my favorites. Jess will even work with customer-provided fabric and takes on custom orders with gusto! She once suited a party of 12 in rainbow pastel linen bow ties. And she’s had a request for a burlap bow tie!
I love that she credits her grandfather, a true Southern gentleman, for inspiring her work! Well, she’s inspired us this month and we’ve put together a quirky vintage wedding day look based on the style of Fox & Brie.
Sweetheart Jess is offering one lucky guy or gal one of her most popular items, the Charcoal Chambray Bow Tie! I just love this one. To enter this month’s contest, you will need to head over to Fox & Brie, take a look around, and then come back and tell us which item is your favorite. Be sure to comment on this blog post for your entry to count. We’ll pick a winner at random on Friday, August 10, and we’ll make the big announcement on Sunday, the 12th.
Keep an eye on Jess’ shop this month, as she’s just about to reveal her new Fall line! We were excited to hear the news and can’t wait to see what’s in store. She shared a little bit about it with us… “New fabrics & textures, a lot of jewel tones & wool blends for the upcoming transition to fall. I’m also introducing a few new styles of suspenders. They’ve become pretty popular in my custom orders, so I’ve decided to make them available to the rest of my customers.” A big THANK YOU to Jess for being so kind in teaming up with us for our August giveaway!
