The Green Kangaroo was recently asked to become a preferred vendor for the AIA North Carolina’s Center for Architecture and Design, located in downtown Raleigh. Built to a LEED platinum standard, the Center is “an operating demonstration project for sustainable design and construction practices,” serving as a prime gathering space for those in the field. Having just recently opened its doors to the wedding industry as well, the CfAD will also function as a fresh and modern wedding and event venue. Of course, we were excited to accept the preferred vendor invitation and help kick off the campaign with a Bridal Event Open House Wednesday evening. Kristen set up a display of TGK’s unique wedding stationery in the Street Level Cafe, alongside Event Espresso, Bella Bridesmaid, and a lovely string band. My fiance and I, who were engaged in the space last September, were thrilled to attend the event, even though we’ve already secured our wedding and reception venue (perhaps we should’ve waited a bit longer!).

This photo of Lori and her husband, Ryan, was taken at the Liberty House in Jersey City, NJ. What a beautiful backdrop for their friend’s wedding!
This picture may seem like a random selection, but when I saw it on the Southern Weddings blog, I almost laughed out loud. How delightfully hilarious would be to find yourself sitting in this beautiful, unique chair at a wedding ceremony. The fun, spontaneous nature of it captured my attention and I just had to share!
