A Heart Shaped Day

First of all, I have to take a moment (before I start rambling about this love-dovey holiday) to wish Cameron, Head ‘Roo Kristen’s Littlest Joey, a very Happy 1st Birthday from The ‘Roo Crew. Happy Birthday, Cam!

And now … Happy Valentine’s Day! There are so many unique ways to make Valentine’s Day special for your little ones, your significant other and even for yourself. My current favorite idea is to center your entire day around all things heart-shaped. Yes, it’s cheesy. Yes, you might feel a bit silly. But, it’ll make your kiddos grin ear-to-ear and you might even find yourself getting fully into the spirit of the day.

Step 1: Kick off your Heart Shaped Day with a heart-shaped breakfast.

Step 2: Get crafty! Spend your afternoon creating V-Day cards with the kids and enjoying more yummy treats! Or, since today is a Tuesday, send your beloved ones off to school and work with an adorably festive brown-bag lunch!

Step 3: Cards, flowers and treats, oh my! Tuck each household member’s goodies into creative mailboxes, similar to the ones shown below, for an extra fun surprise. Then, make a homemade pizza together – complete with heart-shaped pepperonis!

Step 4: Remember to say “I love you!” and enjoy your day!
