Engagement Ring Trends

Why not kick off the “month of love” with some stunning engagement rings?!  Whether you’re already engaged, hoping to be, or even against the idea, you have to admit these engagement ring trends are quite enchanting.  If your fella won’t be getting you one soon, you can always indulge your right hand!

artistic engagement ringsArtistic Engagement Rings – Edgy jewelry designs steal the show for the modern bride-to-be with mechanical design, raw stones, and free form shapes.

Left to right: The interchangeable ring design, by award winning designer Sruli Recht, is an incredible work of art that can be switched on a whim.  The raw yellow diamond ring is unique in its color and organic form.  A natural beauty, the rough cut diamond set among dozens of tiny polished stones, is a one-of-a-kind ring from Diamond in the Rough.

eco-friendly engagement ringsEco-friendly Engagement Rings - As beautiful as diamonds are, they can have an ugly side to them; as awareness of the trade has risen, conflict-free diamonds and other alternatives have stepped into the spotlight.  Recycled materials are also sought after by the eco-friendly couple.

Left to right: The Herkimer Diamond Solitaire by Bezalel Jewels features a rough cut Herkimer diamond, which is actually a quartz stone mined in Herkimer, New York.  The beautiful Rose Cut Pale Pink Diamond Bloom ring by Kyle Anne Metals shows off an untreated, conflict-free stone in a hand-forged band.  Metalicious recreates the traditional engagement ring without even using a stone in this modern diamond ring alternative; sterling silver is cast, cut, and polished to achieve the look of a cut stone, but in an innovative and eco-friendly manner.

vintage engagement ringsVintage Engagement Rings – Timeless vintage rings, with their charming love stories, will always remain a romantic favorite.

Left to right: The diamond cluster ring is actually a new take on a lovely vintage design.  An antique filigree Old European cut diamond ring is an exquisite example of why vintage rings continue to stand the test of time.  Equally charming is the intricate work of the split band diamond encrusted ring.

halo engagement ringsHalo Engagement Rings - Halo diamond rings are hugely popular and pack a punch by adding a shimmering band of diamonds around an already beautiful stone.

Left to right: This cushion cut diamond ring is made even more stunning by its pave diamond halo.  A beautiful alternative to a diamond is the cubic zirconia ring surrounded by round pave-set diamonds.  This bridal halo engagement ring features a triple halo effect that is just lovely.

colorful gemstone engagement ringsColorful Engagement Rings – As though the guys don’t have enough options already, now they can choose what color stone to select for their bride.  Color treated diamonds and various gemstones have become a popular trend, possibly made even more so by the stunning sapphire engagement ring adorning Kate Middleton’s ring finger.

Left to right: A color treated blue diamond takes center stage among a band of small round cut diamonds.  This multi-stone halo ring features a rare canary diamond.  The sapphire and diamond ring demands attention with its royal hue.

We want to hear your love stories this month!  Tell us how your guy proposed.

Forever Bouquets

Have you ever thought of carrying a brooch bouquet down the aisle?  What about toting around a button bouquet?  Ribbons, brooches, buttons, papers, and beads are just a few of the things making up today’s unique bridal bouquets.

Forever Bouquets Inspiration Board

Just think how awesome it would be to be able to incorporate your grandmother’s favorite brooch and your mother’s wedding day earrings in your bouquet and then be able to pass that same bouquet down to your daughter on her wedding day.

Although I don’t think that live flowers will ever be (or can be) replaced, these everlasting works of art are definitely worthy of a trip down the aisle.
